Administers advanced life support care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital setting, in accordance with statewide Treatment Protocols and HEMSI Medical Control Physicians as authorized and directed by physician by performing the following duties.

1) Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and required
undergraduate NRP certificate
2) Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals
3) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
a. State of Alabama EMSP License as Paramedic
b. Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
c. EVOC – once employed/promoted must obtain and maintain
d. Valid and current driver’s license
