Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process._ **Responsibilities** Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport as part of the transport team. + Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility as part of the transport team in collaboration with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse. + Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. + Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations and follow directives. + Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public. + May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following preferred: + Drivers License. + Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Prehospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
