Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an approved Paralegal or Legal Assistant program approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), or at an accredited college or university; OR Possession of a Certified Paralegal (CP) certification issued by the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc.; OR A Juris Doctorate. NOTE: Disbarred attorneys and those who have permanently resigned from the practice of law in lieu of discipline may not be hired in any position in connection with the practice of law. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: In this role, you will: + Conduct legal research for attorneys finding and analyzing, legislation, statutes, and court decisions applicable to policy issues. + Compile information related to legislative actions and other policy related matters Drafts letters, documents, and other correspondence by telephone on policy matters. + Compose memoranda and other correspondence to assist the attorneys in determining the proper application of the Department's rules and regulations on policy matters + Perform administrative duties related to policy issuance and special projects, including but not limited to issue tracking, time keeping and statistical case value tracking Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Job Appointment, Detail to Special Duty or WAE Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
