Intellectual Property Paralegal
Dallas, TX | Full-Time | Corporate Law Firm

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Dallas. As the IP Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in supporting attorneys with U.S. and international patent, trademark, and copyright matters. From managing complex dockets to preparing filings and maintaining IP portfolios, your work will directly contribute to protecting clients' most valuable assets. This opportunity is full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file U.S. and international patent, trademark, and copyright applicationsDraft and file documents with the USPTO, including provisional, utility, design, and PCT applicationsCoordinate with foreign counsel on international filings and documentationManage IP docketing systems and track critical deadlinesMaintain accurate records for U.S. and foreign IP portfoliosConduct preliminary trademark searches and assist with clearance reviewsPerform ownership, lien, and assignment searches for IP assetsSupport IP-related litigation and enforcement activitiesDraft and review legal correspondence, reports, and client communicationsAssist with IP agreements such as NDAs, licensing, and assignmentsProvide general administrative support to attorneys

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of IP paralegal experience in a law firm settingStrongly preferred:
Bachelor's degreeParalegal certificate or Associate's degree in Paralegal StudiesCertified Legal Assistant (CLA) designationProficiency with USPTO and international IP filing proceduresExperience with IP docketing software
