The Paper Claims Administrator supports the end-to-end lifecycle of paper-related production claims, transit damage claims, supplier communications, and operational documentation. This role bridges the gap between pressroom and paper warehouse operations, billing, accounts payable, and supplier relations, ensuring accurate and timely claim processing and continuous improvement in paper quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
+ Credit and Claims Management
+ File claims related to quality issues across multiple plants.
+ Document and analyze production claims related to paper defects, waste, and downtime.
+ Coordinate with pressroom supervisors and billing analysts to validate claim details.
+ Monitor and support transit damage claims submissions across multiple plants.
+ Prepare supporting documentation for supplier reimbursement and internal reporting.
+ Supplier Communication
+ Liaise with mill representatives and brokers to resolve quality issues and negotiate restitution.
+ Maintain clear records of correspondence and claim outcomes
+ Operational Documentation
+ Co-author and maintain templates for production claims and quality tracking.
+ Contribute to technical specification reviews and public-facing documentation (e.g., Quad.com releases).
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Participate in meetings and initiatives related to supplier performance, paper specifications, quality assurance, and process improvement.
+ Support onboarding and training efforts for new team members and trainees.
+ Data & Reporting
+ Assist in compiling waste and downtime metrics for internal analysis.
+ Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools for paper claims visibility.
Job Requirements
+ Education
+ Bachelor’s degree and strong proficiency in English language
+ Experience
+ 2 years relevant experience
+ Qualifications
+ Attention to detail: Ensures work is thorough and accurate, recognizing that errors can have significant business impact.
+ Strong analytical and documentation skills.
+ Effective communicator across departments and assertive professional style with external partners.
+ Familiarity with paper operations, billing workflows, and supplier relations.
+ Experience with production environments and quality assurance preferred.
