The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Palletizer Operator to work at our facility in Springfield, MO. Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Under the direction of Distribution, operates, performs sanitation, maintenance, and housekeeping duties on palletizers, case unitizers, and supportive equipment. Must be supportive of Plant and Department goals and vision and possess a positive work ethic, outlook, and attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Basic math, reading, and communication
Ability to adjust to temperature changes (lower 40s to upper 90s); can be in hot/humid, or cool environment depending on assigned job tasks
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred

Vacation and paid holidays starting from date of hire
Hourly pay starting at $25.35/hour, plus shift differential for second and third shifts

Work Schedule:
2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 10:30pm
3rd Shift: 10:30pm – 6:30am
We are a 24/7 facility offering both 8-hour and 10-hour shifts as well as 12-hour rotating shifts. Work schedule is dependent on position and overtime may be required.

Job Responsibilities:
Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner.
Be able to work, communicate, and behave in a team manner. Be team-oriented.
Ability to operate unitizers, wrappers, conveyors, and pallet magazines.
Proactively assist operators/technicians of other machines when necessary.
Promotes teamwork and communication. Must communicate operational concerns to appropriate personnel. Ability and willingness to work in a team-based environment.
Maintains Kraft Quality Standards by performing all necessary package integrity checks, including seals, code dates, package materials, tally sheets, Matrics interfaces, Auto PRN, and other system processes.
Must ensure proper GMP’s and good housekeeping practices are maintained in the work areas.
Demonstrate ownership of all necessary functions for optimal line performance such as trouble-shooting adjustments, lubrication, etc.
Understands production department needs. Able to read and understand production schedule. Perform a variety of changeover/set-ups.
Handle non-conforming product in compliance with Quality procedures.
Performs documentation and data entry duties associated with line operation/sanitation neatly and accurately.
Knowledgeable of packaging supplies used and their effects on production outputs.
Must be fork truck certified or able to become certified. Must operate Vert lift and walkie rider.
Ability and willingness to train others. Must have willingness to learn.
Maintain OEE performance standards including input and report preparation.
Maintains a good working relationship with production line coordinators, other unitizer operators, general maintenance and department maintenance associates.
Perform sanitation responsibilities as needed; including ability to relieve L for vacation/absence.
Cross-train and assist on all other palletizers, unitizer, conveyor equipment and Distribution functions.
Must maintain processing equipment by utilizing the approved system and settings.
Possibility of DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
Will be required to be involved in improvement opportunities teams.
Ability to complete minor breakdown repairs.
Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
Understand and accountable for the KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, involvement in process improvements, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge: Basic math, reading and communication.
Working Environment: Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general production environment. Subject to cooler temperatures inside the Filling room.
Qualifications:
Able to acquire Fork Truck License.
Must be able to certify on job when required.Physical Requirements:
Bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting and reaching to both floor level and overhead; lifting, carrying, pushing. Routinely pull and move up to 150 pounds. Occasionally moves weight up to 500 pounds; assists another associate in moving a 700 pound cart; holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment; and disassemble and reassemble equipment.Plant Overview:
Over 1,000 employees make up the team at the Springfield facility.
A variety of cheese products (Sliced/Chunk/Shred), and pasta Mac & Cheese meals are produced at this location.
