Summary:The Painter 1 / Entry-Level Engineering Technician (Tech 1) will be responsible for primarily maintaining the aesthetic quality of public areas through painting and touch-up work during the overnight shift. In addition, the technician will assist with general engineering tasks, respond to guest service calls, and handle urgent situations as they arise. Essential Functions: Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to: + Perform painting, staining, and finishing work on walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces in public areas to maintain a clean and professional appearance. + Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, and priming as needed. + Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition. + Perform daily shift rounds of property and equipment. Inspection of the buildings, systems, and equipment to identify malfunctions or potential hazards. + Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks involving property wide and in room technology: televisions, internet connection and signal, Wi-Fi and telephone. + Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks involving property wide and in room technology: televisions, internet connection and signal, Wi-Fi and telephone. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. + Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. + Respond promptly to guest requests and service calls, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally. + Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs and maintenance of buildings and facilities. + Support the Engineering team during emergency situations, including fire alarms, water leaks, and power outages. + Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with company standards and local regulations. + Document work performed and reported any major issues to the Engineering leadership team. + Troubleshoot equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner. + Perform assignments as directed by the Engineering Supervisor and Director of Engineering. + Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and locations. + Respond to room repairs regarding carpentry, electrical, plumbing, carpeting, and painting. + Respond to guest room calls and assist guests with room issues. Qualifications: + Previous painting experience preferred. + Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks is a plus. + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during overnight shifts. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. + Reliable and detail-oriented + Physical Requirements Position requires walking and giving directions most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment. Schedule & Work Environment: + Overnight shift (typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). + Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to chemicals, paints, and cleaning agents. The pay scale for the Painter 1 is $29.00 an hour. The pay scale is the base hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
