Job Title: Paint Line Technician / Powder Coating Tech

Pay: $23/hr + $1 raise after 90 days

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00a-4:30pm, overtime available on Fridays

Job Description

As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting parts and trucks using HVLP paint guns and oil-based paints. Your duties will include washing and sanding parts, preparing fillers, performing bodywork, and masking off areas prior to painting. You will also set up parts on racks and hangers, maintain and clean the paint and sanding booths, and ensure all assigned PPE equipment is maintained per manufacturer requirements.

Responsibilities

Wash and sand parts in preparation for painting.Prepare fillers and perform bodywork before painting.Mask off parts and trucks prior to painting.Set up parts on racks and hangers to facilitate painting.Paint parts and trucks using HVLP paint guns and oil-based paint.Maintain and clean the paint and sanding booths.Ensure all assigned PPE equipment is maintained per manufacturer's requirements.Clean and maintain paint guns, pumps, and agitators.Work in a clean and safe manner utilizing all required safety equipment.Understand and adhere to MSDS data safety information.Follow hazardous waste process and documentation.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of industrial painting experience.Proficiency with HVLP paint guns and industrial painting techniques.Experience with sandblasting and paint preparation.Ability to understand MSDS data safety information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Capability to work with arms raised for extended periods.Ability to work in kneeled positions.Familiarity with grinders and DA sanders.Knowledge of solvent-based, single-component paints.Ability to operate forklifts and tuggers.Strong organizational skills to manage workflow and prioritize tasks.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
