DescriptionThe incumbent in this position is Responsible to apply paint, stain, and other finishes for property walls, ceilings, and furniture. Additionally responsible to clean up, storing paint, and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas. And follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.

Key Responsibilities\nResponsible for the painting function of the resort: Removal of old paint from surface to prepare surface for painting, fill nail holes, cracks, and joints, smooth surfaces and apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, and other structures.\nUtilizing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times.  \nRequired to erect scaffolding or set up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level.\nDemonstrate and apply broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for the painting process.\nEmbrace and exhibit the highest level of ethics and integrity consistent with company standards.\nFire Alarm/Life Safety System - to monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems.  To have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.\nTools - to clean, lubricate, protect and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.  To see that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage area.\nTo protect and otherwise maintain your assigned tool pouch and its tools at the discretion of the Engineering Management.\nEmergencies - to be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guest and employees, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.  To act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status.  To inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies.\nAccident Prevention and Safety - to be aware of all existing departmental Job Safety Analysis and to strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe work environment for others.  To continuously look for conditions which may endanger employees or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.\nRecords - to read, log, and track and to maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems that occur and to ensure this information is passed on to other shifts.\n

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nMinimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar position\nPreferably in an international, luxury five-star hotel\nEnglish - excellent communication skills\n\n
