Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Painter to complete high-quality planned and reactive commercial painting services across a critical healthcare facility. Based on-site in Southport, you’ll ensure interior and exterior maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high standards, contributing to an essential public health environment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform painting, minor plastering, and surface preparation for both interior and exterior areas Water blasting, mould treatment, and sanding/stripping surfaces Use the work management system to receive, complete, and document work Provide excellent communication and service to clients and stakeholders Adhere to BGIS safety policies and procedures and site-specific regulationsEducation, Experience & Skills
Essential:
Relevant painting qualification and industry experience (Cert III Painting & Decorating minimum) Strong understanding of preparation techniques, paint types, and application methods Exceptional attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work autonomously and within a team Physically fit with full Australian working rightsDesirable:
