**Shift:** 1st (5 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday). Friday/Saturdays are OT if worked **Pay $24-$27/hr + benefits** **Summary:** Tends paint mixing machines that mix paint, lacquer, stain, and makes repairs as needed to keep paint system running by performing the following duties. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Wear safety equipment (gloves, ear plugs, steel toe shoes). + Need to be able to identify tools and know the name and function. + Need a mechanical background to take things apart; replace worn parts, replace parts, and reassemble. + Trouble shooting experience is very important. Must be a fast thinker and know process of elimination on pumps, machinery, and spray equipment. + Able to keep an accurate inventory of paints, catalysts, primers, reducers, thinners, chemicals, solvents with multiple brands. + Able to keep accurate inventory of parts, spray gun parts, pump parts, washer parts, etc. + PM (Preventative Maintenance) must be completed on a regular basis on pro mix systems, filter changes, pumps, spray guns, replacing hoses, etc. + Body work and sanding experience (how to fix dents, how to feather back paint, do spot repairs). + Knowledge in buffing out runs, dirt, and blemishes. + Knowledge and hands on experience in “wet” painting techniques and best practices per industry standards. + Ability to conduct hands on training of painting techniques and best practices per industry standards. + Clean area before leaving for the day. + Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others. + Other duties as assigned. **Education/Skills/Experience:** + High school diploma/GED; with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Demonstrate Math proficiency as it relates to this job (add/subtract/divide/multiply whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). **Work Environment:** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
