Salaried Position $45k-$60K based on experience.  Primary Responsibilities: Supervise personnel working in the functional support area ensuring safe operation of equipment and maximize productivity efficiencies. Responsible for providing proper support system to both Line Leads as well as the rest of the staff while always remaining a good example to follow by. Responsible for trouble shooting all quick fix preventative maintenance on Responsible for training of the personnel working on the functional support area floor and monitoring their progress. Complete corrective action reports for rejected Completion of quality checks, trial data and waste Work closely with the Pack House Manager in communicating labor requirements as required (weekly, monthly, seasonally, offshore programs, etc). Responsible for maintaining inventory for all pack house Maintain dialogue with Human Resources and Pack House Manager regarding coaching, disciplining, vacation requests, absenteeism, tardiness, etc. Ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained to meet Food Safety Ensure that all Health and Food Safety work requirements are communicated with employees prior to placing them in new positions. Employee evaluations  Create & maintain a safe, efficient and positive work Education/Background Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Five years of supervisory experience required; food production experience Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Accuracy with numbers, calculating and estimating a must. Experience in hydroponic growing industry an asset. Good communicator verbal / written. Computer skills (Microsoft Office). Ability to work in fast paced environment. Excellent record keeping and analytical skills. Forklift Certified or ability to be trained. Self-motivated, positive attitude, work independently Work independently with minimal supervision Must follow all company policies and procedures Follow all Food Safety & Health & Safety policies May be able to remain calm and think clearly in the face of adversity Communicate clearly and effectively while addressing everyone in a respectful manner Valid Driver’s License – Ability to be trained to drive a forklift Working Conditions: Production environment in the functional support Position requires sitting, standing, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods Visual and audio sensory are needed regularly Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills, and operate equipment Capable of lifting to 50lbs Continuous interaction with various departments and colleagues Ability to make changes as needed without advance notice Be able to work in the cold packhouse area for prolonged periods Working in refrigerated/non-air-conditioned Packhouse for prolonged periods Must be comfortable working around bees.
