Job Summary
The Packaging Systems & Documentation Specialist will provide foundational administrative and documentation support to the Packaging Engineering department within a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, organization, and maintenance of packaging specifications and standards.
Packaging Specification Management
- Enter and update packaging specification data within approved databases and document control systems.
- Verify basic information by referencing engineering drawings, supplier documents, and internal standards under the guidance of Packaging Engineers.
- Assist in preparing and formatting technical documents related to packaging materials and components.
Packaging Standards Administration
- Maintain organized records of packaging standards, ensuring documents are properly filed and version‑controlled.
- Support revision tracking and assist with routing documents for review and approval.
- Distribute updated standards to relevant departments following established communication protocols.
Clerical and Administrative Support
- Organize digital files and maintain documentation in accordance with food industry record‑keeping requirements.
- Prepare simple reports, logs, and summaries related to packaging documentation activities.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes as needed.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including document formatting, template updates, and data accuracy initiatives.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in business administration, technical fields, or related areas is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new software tools and follow structured procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage routine tasks reliably.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
