And we are looking for a Packaging Safety and Compliance Manager for Iberian Region and Coffee Category support Zone Europe and Specification Process Management to join our fantastic team.
**Main purpose of S&C job** is to ensure that all packaging materials for Nestlé products (in Spain and Portugal and Coffee factories) are safe and compliant with legal and Nestlé standards and guidelines. Same applies to promotional items.
Management of quality related issues regarding safety & compliance of packaging materials and promotional items: Validating conformity declarations with regard to food contacting materials; assisting in interpretation of analyzed results; maintenance of Factories surveillance plans; and furthermore assistance in issues of consistence.
Ensuring compliance with Nestlé policies, guidelines and national and European laws and regulations for food packaging and promotional items. Cooperation with NQAC, PTC / R&D & Packaging Specialist.
**Main purpose of SPM Manager** is to provide leadership and is accountable for the management of Packaging data in Packaging Material Purchasing Specifications (PMPS) and Packaging Recipes.
- Ensure quality PMPS are created and approved on a timely basis
- Accountable for packaging materials to be correctly assigned to the right PMPS and consistent
- Ensure maintenance and relevance of PMPS portfolio and Packaging Recipe creation/revision for accurate Packaging purchasing, usage and reporting activities.
**A day in the life of Packaging Safety and Compliance**
As a Packaging Safety and Compliance, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and compliance of packaging placed on the market in the Iberian Market:
+ Ensure compliance with Nestlé Standards, national and European laws and regulations for food contact packaging.
+ Implement and manage packaging monitoring plans with each factory and Co-packing/3rd Party in the market, interpretation of results and the principle contact on issues when raised.
+ Check and manage Declarations of Compliance (DoC) from suppliers for Nestle Spain and Portugal and 3rd Party / new business acquisitions, ensuring compliance with both Nestlé and legal requirements.
+ Provide expertise and support to the Coffee Category at ZEUR level to deliver Packaging Safety & Compliance by design. Managing the DoC for 14 coffee factories incl 5 Comans, surveillance plan optimization for all European coffee factories, S&C involvement in all coffee EUR projects to ensure S&C by design.
+ Coordinate required local packaging supplier audits for new developments and ongoing requirements to Nestlé Standards.
+ Ensure development of competencies of packaging safety and compliance. Disseminate best practices and knowledge to the Nestlé Iberia & Coffee Category Packaging community, aligned with the Global Zone strategy.
+ Build, implement, follow cross-category & cross-market packaging safety & compliance monitoring plan for one designated strategic supplier (currently Amcor).
+ Together with Quality Area in Corporate analyze the Non Food Items to be integrated in the finished goods at Market level.
+ Participate with the Quality Department at corporate level in the Supplier Audits.
+ Support the Market in Specification and Packaging Master Data. Keep a valid, accurate and relevant PMPS & Packaging Recipes portfolio with a stablished discontinuation process in place including "Using Market" status maintenance ("Using" and "No Longer Using" statuses).
**What will make you successful?**
We're looking for someone with previous experience within a packaging environment to manage execution of packaging related initiatives across Nestle Iberia and Coffee Category, in line with corporate legal packaging policies in terms of safety compliance.
You will likely come from a scientific engineering or equivalent manufacturing background also have demonstrable experience continuous improvement techniques tools. Your exceptional communication skills will be put use as you engage both internal external clients ensuring high safety standards delight our consumers without any risks. Importantly you'll be keen progress develop within forward-looking manufacturing site.
Fluent Spanish/Portugues and English are mandatory
