Job Title: Packaging Mechanic I Location: Monmouth Junction, NJ Hours / Schedule: 2nd Shift | Mon–Thurs, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM Type: Temp - Perm Overview The Packaging Mechanic I supports the Packaging Department by maintaining and repairing packaging equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, line changeovers / startups, equipment upgrades, and root cause analysis to ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and FDA requirements. Responsibilities + Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc.) + Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement activities + Execute line changeovers and startups + Support QA and Operations during packaging runs + Ensure safe equipment operation at all times Requirements + Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical / Biotech packaging mechanic experience + Strong electrical background + Hands-on experience with fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc. + Must pass pre-employment and physical + High school/GED + Proficient in manufacturing procedures, FDA regulations, cGMPs, SOPs + Ability to read/interpreting safety, maintenance, and procedure manuals + Basic PC skills + Willingness to work overtime as needed Preferred Requirements + Trade school or technical certification Physical Requirements + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + Stand for extended periods + Use of PPE as required #M3 Ref: #558-Scientific System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
