Packaging Line Worker
**Job Title: Packaging Line Worker** **Job Description** As a Packaging Line Worker, you will be responsible for hand packing bottles of products, pushing boxes through a taping machine, consistently lifting 20 lbs throughout your shift, and dumping empty bottles into a hopper at the front of the line. **Responsibilities** + Hand pack bottles of products. + Push boxes through a taping machine. + Lift 20 lbs consistently throughout the shift. + Dump empty bottles into the hopper at the front of the line. + Communicate with the team via walkie-talkie to request more products when needed. + Utilize technology to identify pick areas to work on. + Communicate with the warehouse when the line is finished. + Handle products carefully to ensure quality standards are maintained. **Essential Skills** + Order picking. + Packing and hand packing. + Material handling. + Palletizing. + Inventory management. + RF scanner usage. + Pallet jack operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to communicate effectively with team members. + Experience in a manufacturing plant environment is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity begins as a contract-based position with the potential for conversion to an internal employee based on attendance and production performance. After a year of service, employees receive an automatic 10% pay increase. **Work Environment** This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment, where you will work around moving mechanical parts, be exposed to airborne particles such as spices, and work near motorized vehicles. There is a strong spice smell when entering the facility, but employees report that it becomes unnoticeable after about a week. Shifts are available from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Ankeny, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
