Packaging Lead Person – Ashburn, GA
This is an non-exempt level position.
Initial schedule will be 4 on 2 off rotating with no Sundays. Eventually will move to 7 days a week rotating all 4 shifts and will include $1.50 more an hour shift differential. Must have open availability.
Position Summary:Coachable, Motivated individual with Initiative to continuously improveUnder limited supervision, lead a group colleagues to accomplish tasks in the Packaging Department. Job Responsibilities:Leadership and Organizational SkillsConducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.Maintain a good attendance record.Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidaysMaintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)Maintain production ratesAbility to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.Maintains good housekeeping and ensures that required sanitation duties and paperwork are completed as required.Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.Continuously monitors and adjusts equipment for optimal performance and qualityReview quality control documents and make necessary adjustmentsPerform Food Safety/HACCP/Quality Control checks and documentComplete assigned paperwork accuratelyPerform maintenance and sanitation on machines as requiredMay perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills:Clear CommunicationProblem SolvingDecision MakingMotivationForklift Operator ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
