The Packaging Engineer is responsible for supporting global package design, development and testing of instruments, diagnostic kits, reagents and labeling, with opportunities to learn and grow professionally.

This position reports to the Manager of Packaging Engineering and is part of Manufacturing Engineering, located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in cross-functional teams to develop packaging and labeling from early development through commercial launch phases to ensure all internal and external packaging compliance and documentation requirements are metTroubleshoot packaging and labeling-related issues in manufacturing and assist with failure investigations, and non-conformance and CAPA activitiesCreate and execute packaging protocols/reports to ensure the packaging system meets/performs to set requirements. Support qualification of sealing/packaging equipment/processes in manufacturingLead packaging and labeling projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexityWork on packaging solutions that will help reduce overall CO2 omissions globally and minimize our carbon footprint

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of related work experienceMust have a knowledge of ISO, MDR, ISTA and ASTM standards and regulatory requirementsThe position requires a high degree of organizational skills, adaptability, creative decision making and technical problem-solving abilities.Travel to US and global manufacturing sites may be required

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel to US and global manufacturing sites may be requiredAbility to lift, move or carry up to 35 lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Labeling softwareValidation of packaging related equipment such as printers, sealers, and similarKnowledge of SolidWorks

The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
