Job Title: Packager/OperatorJob Description

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of 2-5 individuals on a Roll Forming machine to efficiently package finished materials such as metal shingles, siding, and gutters. Each machine is operated by a Machine Operator II, with support from 2-5 Packagers (Machine Operator I). You will perform visual quality checks to ensure there are no manufacturing defects.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.Construct boxes, package, palletize, and move products efficiently.Operate power tools including drills, staple guns, and pneumatic tools with proficiency.Adapt to working with various machines and different groups daily.Perform quality checks and measure parts accurately.Essential SkillsExperience in packaging, production, and machine operation.Strong attention to detail.Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment.Ability to work well with others and perform general labor tasks.Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months experience in a manufacturing/production environment.Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Capability to read and understand tape measures and calculators.Bilingual in Spanish and English is advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work setting is an industrial manufacturing environment where conditions can be warm and noisy due to running machinery. Employees must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat, with proper PPE and safety training provided. The space is not temperature controlled, with doors open during the summer months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
