**Your role and responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development & Maintenance
* Design, code, test, and implement changes or enhancements in the Customer/1 application.
* Work with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.

Requirement Analysis
* Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather functional requirements.
* Translate business needs into technical specifications.
*
System Configuration
* Configure Customer/1 modules to meet specific customer or business requirements.
* Implement changes in pricing, billing, order management, and customer data processing.
*
Testing & Quality Assurance
* Create and execute unit tests and integration tests.
* Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve defects.
*
Production Support & Troubleshooting
* Monitor batch jobs and online transactions.
* Investigate and resolve incidents, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
*
Performance Optimization
* Review and improve code and database queries to ensure efficient execution.
* Optimize batch processing schedules.
*
Documentation
* Maintain technical documentation for system changes, configurations, and processes.
*
Collaboration
* Work closely with project managers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
* Liaise with vendors or third-party support for Customer/1-related issues.

Compliance & Standards
* Ensure that all development follows organizational coding standards, change management processes, and regulatory requirements.
*
Continuous Improvement
* Recommend and implement improvements in processes, tools, and the Customer/1 application based on user feedback
