P&O BP & IR Professional – Goa

We're on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Business Partner and Industrial Relations Specialist to join us in fostering strong collaborative ties within our organization and with external stakeholders. The scope of this position is not just limited to handling manufacturing P&O activities for the 4 Factories at Goa belonging to SI EA & 1 factory of SE, but also to support P&O Business partnering for the entire location. Goa being a growth location for SI business (with existing BV around 8 B INR and total HC approx. 1100, including 3rd party contract laborers) this position is one of the most challenging and impactful ones in the SI P&O team. The role assumes the P&OBP role for all white-collar population in SI EA at Goa as a normal responsibility and beyond Goa as and when necessary.
The role holder also supports the SE factory operating out of Goa on various P&O topics. Partners include Location in Charge, Factory Managers, All Employees, Union Members, GBS, BU Heads, Contract Staffing, SRE, HM, Government Authorities, Apprentices, Verna Industrial Association, CII & GCCI. The role structurally reports to the SI EA P&O BP and closely with SL IR Head.

You will be handling Governance of local labour laws and its compliances for Goa Locations. Maintain cordial employee and industrial relations at location. Represent Siemens Ltd for conciliation, labour & legal matters. Participate in Long Term Settlement and analyses benchmarking data around Goa. Advise Managers & Supervisors on disciplinary incidents and counsel workmen.Liaison with Government & Labour authorities during inspections and new projectsAdvise Managers & employees w.r.t P&O Policies & guidelinesImplementation of P&O projects & activities in alignment with P&O BPEnsure accurate Employee Life Cycles Services and support through GBS colleaguesUnderstand Business and provide local solutions to ensure productivitySupport TA for recruitment and interviews at Goa locationSupport LIC for implementing & coordinating programs as per business needsImplement Volunteering drives, Engagement activities, Cultural events, OBTs etc for Goa location.Contractor Management to ensure 3rd party compliancesSupport to Works Committee and Location reviews along with LICSupport P&O BP for P&O initiatives & participate in P&O projects Induction/Orientations of new hires for Goa LocationHandling employee grievances with instant solutionsConducting Townhalls, Breakout sessions and support in surveysSupporting the P&O BP to ensure implementation of Global P&O Strategy in alignment with local needs (wherever applicable) e.g. Hiring and retention of key resources from the global R&D group as well as driving employee engagement activities together with the R&D HeadSupport initiatives like GPTW, SGES, PMP, SIPCA etc in alignment with P&O BPSupport P&O BP in Workforce planning, Recruitment and Onboarding topics for SI EA at GoaPeople Development and performance management including consequence management.Learning interventions in association with the central team to cater to the business need. Support P&O BP in Merit rise and incentive Management for BUParticipate in BU/Country specific projects as & when required for self-learning and adding value to the P&O as a function.You will maintain various reports as needed related to P&O role to support the decision-making process, participate and actively engage in all P&O initiatives being driven for the BUs.Additional responsibilities undertaken:

You bring in 8+ years of experience of P&O and IR Have an understanding of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards related to industrial relations in India. Familiarity with Siemens' business operations and culture is advantageous. Proven ability to negotiate effectively, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to establish trust, credibility, and rapport with employees, labor unions, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business requirements, and regulatory environments.
