The Role
Airswift’s Lyon team is recruiting a P&ID Preparator (Préparateur PID) to support an engineering project in the chemical/petrochemical sector.
Working closely with the Process team and a subcontracted drafting team, you will prepare, update, and ensure the consistency of Master P&IDs, line lists, and associated documentation in alignment with project standards.
This role requires strong organisation, autonomy, technical accuracy, and excellent coordination skills.
 
Key Responsibilities
P&ID Creation & Preparation Prepare and maintain the project’s Master P&IDs according to established engineering and project standards. Coordinate with drafting subcontractors and Process Engineers to ensure alignment. Documentation Quality & Consistency Ensure consistent comments, symbols, and technical standards across all P&ID documents. Verify deliverables to meet project requirements. Line List Management Create, update, and maintain the line list (liste de lignes). Planning & Reporting Ensure adherence to project schedules and deliverable deadlines. Participate in coordination meetings as required. HSE & Compliance Apply the project’s HSE rules, participate in safety meetings, and ensure proper reporting (FOS, safety talks, etc.).  
Profile
Experience BAC+5: Junior engineer with at least one internship involving P&IDs, or BAC+2: 5–8 years of experience preparing P&IDs (IUT Chimie / Génie Chimique or equivalent). Experience in an engineering office working on P&IDs and line list management is essential. Prior exposure to large industrial projects is an advantage. Technical Skills Proficiency in Autocad and/or MicroStation. Good command of Excel (line list management). Knowledge of SPPID is a plus. Strong organisation, autonomy, and reliability. Soft Skills Rigorous, methodical, and detail?oriented. Strong coordination and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with process and drafting teams.
