Key Responsibilities:
1. Primary Duties:
+ Oyster Production - Operate in a high quality, high output facility in an oyster production position that can consist of either sorting oysters, packaging oysters, packing orders, transporting orders or product through the facility, or general production tasks. Maintain a high output rate that follows the standards and procedures of Pacific Seafood.
+ Product Inspection - Assist in product quality management by inspecting and evaluating any product you work with and reporting any questions or concerns to a supervisor or manager. This helps ensure the final product maintains the high-quality standards of Pacific Seafood.
+ Production Output - Maintain a consistent pace that meets the standard of Pacific Seafood. There are many orders that are processed and need to be met. A consistent expeditious pace is required for this position. This helps to ensure production rates and order completion for customers.
2. Supporting Duties:
+ Utilize Food Processing Equipment - Handle food and safety equipment in a responsible manner that follows the rules and guidelines of Pacific Seafood.
+ Sanitation and Food Safety - Workstations will be cleaned and always sanitized to limit potential of product contamination.
+ Maintain Plant Safety - Follow the safety rules and guidelines set forth by the Environmental Health and Safety team. Although an expeditious pace is required for this position, Pacific Seafood’s safety guideline exclude team members from working at an unsafe or unmanageable rate. You will need to keep your workstations always clean and maintain proper use of production equipment.
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
+ Sanitation and food safety.
+ Experience with radio frequency handheld scanners and quality control.
Preferred:
+ Forklift experience or certification.
+ Pallet jack experience
+ Bilingual written, verbal, and reading skills in English and Spanish languages.
+ Previous oyster production experience.
Pay Range: $17.50 per hour minimum.
