Job Summary:

Allegion is seeking a dynamic business leader for our Overtur software platform.  As the Business Leader, you will be responsible for directing and managing the business team (product management and customer success), developing and advancing the strategic vision and roadmap, driving planning & execution with IT delivery teams, and leading an engaged and talented organization. 

You are experienced in running a software business, including strategy development, sales and marketing, software development, and overall investment prioritization. You provide strong thought leadership, inspire innovation, and are an excellent influencer. You can build strong relationships with other business partners and cross-functional leaders, achieve planned targets and objectives, and delight customers with new and refined solutions. 

 This is an amazing opportunity for a strategic leader to own core software platforms that are essential to the success of the Americas business in the areas of demand generation, earning discretionary business, and enabling software and service revenue. 

  

What You Will Do: 

Lead the software platform teams that consist of: 

Overtur Software Platform - A digital environment for the design, construction and management of openings, helping designers, estimators, general contractors, building owners, and more, stay connected, updated, and coordinated. 

Customer 360 Portal – A software platform consisting of multiple applications and data sources for direct Allegion account management.  

Direct leadership of Product Mgmt. and Customer Success teams.  

Influence and collaborate with matrix functional leaders in Sales & Marketing, IT, Finance, Business Operations, and HR.  

Lead the business strategy and life cycle software product management with full accountability for capital and expense budget, revenue goals attainment, and CX metrics.   

Develop business roadmaps and strategies, aligning to the Long-Range Plan (LRP) of the Americas and International businesses. 

Strong customer focus, driving ongoing continuous improvement in platform adoption and user experience. 

Ensure the software product management and software delivery processes meet internal needs, maintaining a focus on customer outcomes, and continually evolving. 

Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute strategies that effectively promote the software portfolio and brand, including creating compelling messaging, identifying target audiences, and supporting the launch of marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and adoption.   

Build and maintain key channel partner and industry relationships (architects, distributors, GC’s, etc.). 

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, SaaS platform advancements, and evolving industry and competitive trends within the commercial building sector to drive strategic innovation and expand competitive advantage. 

Provide continuous communication and partnership to matrix teams on business initiatives, strategy, and overall direction. 

Inspire teams through your leadership presence and influencing. 

Build a culture of collaboration and be a change champion in the business environment. 

Effectively motivate teams by providing clear goals that stretch capabilities to achieve pre-determined outcomes. 

Provide coaching and development to teams, fostering Allegion’s values, leadership behaviors, and strengths-based culture. You’ll foster innovative and strategic thinking, ensuring timely decision-making. 

Drive business growth via M&A.  Partner with Business Development on M&A targets and due diligence as well as successful integration and synergy capture post-acquisition. 

 

What You Need to Succeed: 

A minimum of 10 years’ experience, providing leadership, direction, and development to staff at all levels. 

Strategic thinker, capable of thinking broadly without losing sight of details. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Technical, Business, or relevant field required. 

Business post-secondary educational degree, MBA or equivalent preferred. 

Extensive knowledge in the relevant customer experiences for design, specification, order fulfillment, and construction management.  

Knowledge of current and emerging technology, including design, appropriate use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cyber security.  

Experience in outside-in design and customer journey mapping is preferred. 

Ability to work collaboratively with executive leaders. 

Experience in a highly matrixed environment preferred. 

Strong financial and business acumen. 

Software product management experience preferred. 

Proven decision quality and timeliness in a customer experience-focused environment. 

Travel: 20%+

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  

The expected Base Salary Range: $132,500 to $234,600.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
