**What we're looking for…**
+ Experience with operating and maintaining heat treatment equipment like furnaces, ovens, and related tools.
+ Experience with stamping, machining tooling, processes and facilities
+ Experience with designing and optimizing tooling and fixtures for heat treatment applications.
+ Experience in heat treatment ovens: gas and electric

**What you'll do:**
+ Ensuring that all heat treatment processes and equipment are designed and operated safely, minimizing risks to personnel and equipment.
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to heat treatment processes and equipment.
+ Ensuring that the quality and reliability of heat treatment processes are followed within the heat treatment facilities, as defined by the CQI-9 standard.
+ Identifying and resolving problems related to heat treatment processes and equipment.
+ Providing technical guidance and support to heat treatment facilities.
+ Equipment Design analysis including layout for maintainability, equipment uptime, production throughput, reliability, foundations, and electrical/mechanical installations.
+ Write technical specifications for new equipment, improvements, and repairs.
+ Complete risk assessments concurrently with multiple suppliers and plant engineering during design/build
+ Estimate budget and secure quotes for investment studies.
+ Establish and maintain master schedule with technical assistance and plant labor coordination.
+ Execute purchase orders.
+ Support emergency breakdowns (calls after hours/weekends sometimes are expected).
+ Provide analysis of failures and interpret test results, and complete failure reports.
+ Coordinate testing of materials at labs, interpret metallurgical issues and changes.
+ Provide on-site support during installations releases at the plants.
+ Develop installation plans including bid package preparation for contractor installations.
+ Learn and execute Ford Safety process: Risk Assessments, Safety Pre-task Analysis, PROTAG, and ECPL
+ Maintain project budgets and use Ford financial reporting systems (PCAM & PFR).
+ Maintain and update equipment records.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ BSc, Engineering (pref Mechanical) OR 5+ years' equivalent work experience (Oven/Furnace tooling equipment implementation and support)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team
+ Ability to support launch programs
+ Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
+ Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
+ 3D CAD review abilities
+ Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance principles
+ Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
+ Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
+ Able to read & understand mechanical and electrical drawings
+ Energetic personality that is eager to dive in and solve issues.
+ Must be willing to travel domestically – including extended trips for major launches.
+ Largely to Staunton, TN (next 18-24 months)
