Job Description
This role supports a new local delivery program by recruiting small and medium-sized businesses to join a hub-based delivery partner network. You will spend most of your time in the field visiting prospective merchants, pitching the program, qualifying leads, and guiding approved partners through the application process. Working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, you will also help plan and execute community-based recruitment events, build relationships with local organizations, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce. The position involves regular regional travel of up to a two-hour driving distance and offers uncapped commission based on successfully converted partners.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance from Portland to promote the delivery partner program.Present and clearly pitch the new program opportunity to business owners and decision-makers, generating interest and encouraging them to apply.Qualify prospective businesses based on defined criteria and guide them step by step through the application process.Lead prospecting and follow-up activities while managing an organized pipeline of leads and applicants in Salesforce.Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting local recruitment events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.Collaborate with the Field Manager to build partnerships with local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and newly onboarded partners, answering questions and resolving issues during the application and launch process.Use multiple technology systems and tools to track activity, communicate with prospects, and complete administrative tasks.Travel within the assigned territory up to four hours round trip daily to meet recruitment and conversion goals.Conduct follow-up outreach, including outbound calls and digital communication, to nurture leads and move them through the funnel from application to launch.Maintain a high level of professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail while representing the program in the community.Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.Proven outside or field sales experience.Hands-on experience using a CRM system; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in prospecting, managing a sales pipeline, and conducting outbound calls.Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.Ability to negotiate and influence customer decisions in a sales-oriented environment.High level of professionalism, enthusiasm for working with others, and a strong sense of urgency.Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems for applicants in the field.Tech-savvy, with experience working across multiple systems and technology tools.Ability and willingness to travel up to four hours round trip on a daily basis.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in field sales beyond the minimum requirement is a plus.Prior roles involving direct sales and negotiation with customers are advantageous.Bilingual communication skills are beneficial for engaging a diverse business community.Background in business development, account management, or outside sales is helpful.Comfort working in a performance-driven, commission-based environment.Interest in building community partnerships and supporting local small businesses.Work Environment
This is a field-focused role based in the Portland, OR area, with an estimated 80/20 split between time spent in the field and time spent working from home on follow-up and administrative tasks. You will be in the field 4–5 days per week, traveling by car to visit businesses and attend community events within roughly a two-hour driving radius, with the ability to travel up to four hours round trip daily. The position relies heavily on technology, including regular use of Salesforce as a CRM, Excel for data management, and other digital tools for communication and reporting. The role offers uncapped commission with earnings tied to each partner’s progress through the funnel, including separate commission amounts for partner applications, readiness to launch, and sustained activity after launch, along with mileage reimbursement and a monthly phone expense allowance. The work environment centers on building strong relationships with local small businesses and community organizations, operating in a professional, goal-oriented setting where you represent a new delivery program and help raise the bar for the last-mile delivery experience.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.50 - $28.50/hr.
