TEKsystems is hiring a an outside sales representative for leading construction supply company in Virginia Beach, VA. Location: Virginia Beach, VA (will be traveling to work sites every day) Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pm (could be longer days not always a set schedule) Territory: Hampton Roads Description The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, understands the construction industry, and enjoys building long‑term partnerships with customers. Grow sales by identifying new opportunities with contractors, builders, and industrial clients Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers through regular site visits and proactive communication Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and solutions tailored to customer needs Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals in coordination with the inside sales team Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support strategic planning Represent the company professionally at job sites, trade shows, and industry events Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and exceptional customer service Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline updates, and customer interactions Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-3 years of outside sales experience - qualifying accounts, developing relationships, cold calling Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
