Job details Spherion Bismarck is looking for an experienced Outreach Specialist for a local client in Bismarck. This role is ideal for a strategic, community-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and is passionate about grassroots engagement, volunteer empowerment, and humanitarian impact. As the primary liaison for com ... munity-based fundraising and engagement initiatives across North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana, the Specialist will recruit, support, and motivate volunteers, execute fundraising events, and lead regional communications efforts. This position plays a key role in amplifying the organization's mission, coordinating logistics, and ensuring consistent and compelling outreach across platforms.

Salary: $60-80k/year DOE

Responsibilities:
-Lead a calendar of concurrent fundraising events, supporting each through various phases of planning and execution
-Collaborate with leadership to align event goals and themes with overall fundraising strategies
-Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective donors across the region
-Design and distribute templated event toolkits (checklists, timelines, promotional materials, etc.) for volunteer use
-Identify, train, and mentor volunteer hosts and planning committees in each target state
-Foster ongoing communication, motivation, and support through virtual meetings, calls, and resources
-Provide proactive and responsive guidance throughout the planning and implementation process
-Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute outreach plans via email, social media, local media, and community networks
-Ensure all communications are aligned with branding and messaging standards
-Capture and share compelling stories, images, and data from events to highlight impact and engage stakeholders
-Oversee end-to-end logistics for each event, including timelines, supply coordination, and budget management
-Ensure accurate registration, ticketing, donation tracking, and post-event reporting
-Represent the organization at select events to support volunteers and elevate the organization???s presence
-Coordinate prompt and personalized thank-you notes for donors and volunteers
-Collect feedback and measure event outcomes to refine future efforts
-Maintain thorough documentation in CRM, including contacts, budgets, and event results

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
-Experience with grassroots or peer-to-peer fundraising models
-Understanding of the six-state regional landscape and community dynamics
-Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in nonprofit event planning, fundraising, or volunteer engagement
-Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for relationship-building
-Self-starter who thrives in both collaborative and independent work settings
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM systems
-Willing to travel within the region and occasionally work evenings or weekends
