Outreach Coordinator
Description Position Overview As the Outreach Coordinator, you’ll serve as a vital connector between K-12 schools, community colleges, training centers, and community-based organizations. You’ll help develop and expand programs that introduce students, educators, and underserved populations to high-demand career pathways—especially those in skilled trades and apprenticeship opportunities. Key Responsibilities + Build and maintain partnerships with high schools, community colleges, career counselors, and educators to promote training and apprenticeship programs. + Coordinate classroom presentations, career days, campus visits, and training center tours to engage students and spark interest in career pathways. + Develop and distribute educational outreach materials, including flyers, digital content, and recruitment collateral tailored to student audiences. + Represent the organization at education-focused events, including career fairs, workshops, and information sessions. + Serve as a liaison between educators, students, and internal training staff to ensure a smooth and supportive onboarding process. + Collaborate with education stakeholders and community organizations to identify underserved populations and remove access barriers. + Support social media, marketing, and communications efforts by contributing student- and educator-focused content. + Assist with general administrative tasks, including file creation, audit prep, and reception support, as needed. Requirements Qualifications + 2+ years experience in education outreach, community engagement, or administrative support (preferably in a school or nonprofit setting). + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation delivery. + Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail. + Comfortable working with diverse student populations, educators, and community stakeholders. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common administrative tools. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple events or school partnerships simultaneously. + Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation required for school visits and events. + Ability to lift and transport outreach materials (up to 30 lbs) and set up booths for events.
