Description
Are you passionate about workforce development and committed to creating pathways to opportunity? A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a dynamic and motivated Outreach Coordinator to support and expand apprenticeship and training programs across San Diego. This role is instrumental in building bridges between industry, education, and underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with employers, industry partners, and educational institutions to expand apprenticeship and workforce training programs.
+ Cultivate partnerships with high schools, community-based organizations, career centers, and government agencies to promote job readiness opportunities.
+ Coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts, including the planning and execution of orientations, job fairs, and career awareness events.
+ Arrange and lead tours of the training center for students, educators, and community partners.
+ Represent the organization at public events and act as the single point of contact for outreach initiatives.
+ Support marketing efforts through the development of flyers, social media content, and other promotional materials.
+ Assist with general administrative duties such as file management and reception coverage.
+ Contribute to special projects and initiatives supporting workforce development.
+ Incorporate innovative technology tools and demonstrations to highlight training program offerings.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ 2+ years of professional office or administrative experience.
+ Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.
+ Able to lift up to 15 lbs for event setup and travel between event sites.
+ Ability to pass required skills assessments (typing, software proficiency).
+ Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance coverage.
