Inova Neuromuscular Program is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This role will be full time day shift from Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. The Outpatient RN will be the central point of contact for ALS patients and families, ensuring coordinated care in collaboration with neurology, pulmonology, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and palliative care. Beyond ALS, this role also includes providing education and guidance for patients with conditions such as myasthenia gravis, CIDP, muscular dystrophy, Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), and inflammatory myopathies.

Serve as the ALS Nurse Coordinator, acting as the primary liaison for ALS patients and families. Provide education, guidance, and care coordination for patients with a variety of rare neuromuscular diseases. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care. Coordinate ALS clinic visits and multidisciplinary team meetings. Support providers with disease monitoring, treatment coordination, and equipment/medication needs. Participate in neuromuscular clinical trials in collaboration with the Inova Clinical Trials Unit.Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.Preferred Qualifications:
2–3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; neurology or complex care coordination experience is a plus.
