The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position. Key Responsibilities + Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performance + Develop and implement goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment plans + Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care + Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitation + Maintain accurate and timely patient records + Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy Qualifications Required + Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program + Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license + Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification + Strong interpersonal and communication skills + Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Preferred + Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings + Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques Education and Experience + Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program + Relevant clinical experience preferred Licenses and Certifications + Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license + Current BCLS certification Skills + Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills + Strong treatment planning and implementation abilities + Effective communication and patient education skills + Proficiency in documentation and electronic health records + Ability to adapt treatment approaches to individual patient needs Physical Requirements + Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods + Capability to assist patients with mobility and transfers + Manual dexterity for hands-on patient care Work Environment + Outpatient clinical setting within Beverly Hospital + Potential exposure to typical hospital environments Schedule -Part-time position + May include some evening hours to accommodate patient needs Patient Age Served Provides direct patient care to: + Pediatric (1 month-12 years) + Adolescent (12-17 years) + Adult (19-64 years) + Geriatric (over 65 years) Rehabilitation Career Ladder Engagement + Level I Clinician + Does not participate in the career ladder program + Scored as an N/A as part of the annual review **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
