We are currently searching for a 40-hour Pharmacy Technician to rotate from a Outpatient to a call center environment in our new onsite retail pharmacy. Key Responsibilities + Greet patients by phone with a helpful attitude. Assist with medication-related inquiries, prescription refills, and insurance questions. + Refer to pharmacists as needed and use translation services for non-English speakers. + Accurately receive and process prescriptions, update patient records, and handle documentation for non-electronic scripts, PMP checks, and 340B eligibility. + Offer pharmacist consultations to all via phone. + Verify and update insurance information, process claims, resolve coverage issues, and collaborate with pharmacists and prescribers on alternative therapies or discount options. + Communicate clearly with patients about co-pays and prescriptions. Minimum Requirements: Education/ Certification + High School Diploma or equivalent + Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy. + Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association. + Completion of a Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy approved training program or a minimum of 500 hours worked as a pharmacy technician trainee.
