Outpatient Care Assistant - Full Time - Clinica Santa Maria

Description:

This job operates in the medical group and its offices and requires regular walking in and around an office with long periods of standing. There is the potential for the employee to need to drive to different locations across a regional area. Employees will be working where there is patient care equipment, potential exposure to hazardous materials, including bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids. Exposure to sharps, x-rays, patients’ conditions and some unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases are possible. This position requires significant interaction with people, which can be stressful and result in competing priorities.

Education:

Minimum: High school diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: Completion of nursing assistant program .

Credentials/Licensure:

Minimum: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification- may obtain within 90 days of employment

Related Experience:

Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant, 6 months experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech. Experience in an ambulatory practice environment.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bilingual- Fluent in Spanish and English

Preferred: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand English
