TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Integrated E2E material flow execution: Drive the selection and engage of competent and qualified carriers to transport materials that support Crop Protection and Row Crop businesses within Mexico country.Compliant & Safe operations: Oversees the application of HSE principles across the transportation operations, engages direct reports and encourages teams and contractors/vendors on safe behaviors, compliant logistics operations and on achieving safety targets.Manage on-going partner relationships, ensuring understanding and following the company´s guidelines and requirements.Manage employees and carriers’ compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.Implement, monitor, and ensure full compliance regarding market returns processes.Support the security strategy and be a facilitator to conduct loss investigations into missing stock and loads.Transportation budget achievement: Determine and propose the most cost effective and transportation products efficient means, meeting the customers and company needs.Carrier service management: Responsible for setting up and manage the performance of carriers in line with service level required, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, contracts and company policies and ensuring all KPIs are setup and on plan as per agreed criteria.Distribution Excellence: Accomplish the performance indicators, ensuring that they are in accordance with distribution requirements and the company’s strategies.Develop and implement strategies and establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure successful implementation and support.Collaborate and implement Global or regional initiatives for transportation.Encourage and support the team to drive changes and improvements.Ensure compliance with standards and guidelines established by the SCT or other government agencies, as well as internally with Security and Stewardship.Discards management: Negotiate with suppliers and oversee the execution of all disposals and co-processing of finished products, ensuring full compliance with SAT regulations and company policies.Innovation and transformational projects: Leads the design and implementation of innovation, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the logistics and distribution processes. Manages cross-functional projects to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels through emerging technologies (e.g., TMS, RPAs, AI, automation).Ensures effective stakeholder alignment and change management to enable scalable and sustainable improvements.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration, Engineering required, MBA or Master in Logistics, Supply chain certification preferred.Lean Manufacturing or Six sigma certification (desired).3+ years cumulative experience in Distribution (preferred) and/or Logistics.Advanced English level is required.Experience building processes, project management.Experience in Transportation carriers Management and distribution network design.Strong understanding of global distribution trends and best practices.Key competencies: Customer Focus, strategic thinking, budgeting & forecasting management, agility, flexibility, resilience, transparency, leadership, continuous improvement mindset, strong deliver results driven, high process orientation, able to cross-functionally align and communicate, capable of building amiable relationships with carriers and business partners, decision making based on data & business oriented, outstanding communication, ability to deal with ambiguity in the constantly changing/fast paced environment, influencing and coaching skills required.
