Outbound Product Manager

Summary

As an Outbound Product Manager for the Integrations & Networking product area, you will help shape how insurers connect, orchestrate, secure, and operate integrations and networking across Guidewire Cloud Platform and the broader Guidewire Application Platform ecosystem.

Your portfolio will focus on integration and connectivity capabilities that enable customers to reliably connect Guidewire applications with external systems and services. This includes API-based integrations, event-driven communication, data exchange and transformation, secure networking and connectivity patterns, as well as developer and tooling APIs used by customers and partners.

This role concentrates on the customer-facing and business-facing aspects of integrations and GWCP networking —capturing customer needs, validating field insights, shaping requirements, defining value, and partnering across Guidewire to ensure the integrations experience is secure, scalable, modern, and aligned with industry expectations.

You will be a member of the Guidewire Cloud Platform Outbound PM team, collaborating closely with multiple Inbound Product Managers across integrations, APIs, and networking domains. Together, you will align customer and field insights with platform capabilities, roadmaps, and execution across the integration and connectivity space.

Guidewire’s culture is defined by integrity, collegiality, and rationality, where each team member is valued for who they are and what they bring. Our mission every single day is to learn, share, and collaborate while delivering the best product experience for our customers.

The role requires working from the office 10 days per month (every Tuesday and Wednesday, and Monday–Thursday during the in-office week of each month).

Job Description

What you will do:

Develop a strong understanding of how customers and partners integrate Guidewire applications with external systems, services, and platforms using APIs, event-driven patterns, and cloud connectivity mechanisms.

Engage directly with customers, field teams, and partners to identify challenges and opportunities related to:

application and data integrations

event-based communication between systems

secure network connectivity and access controls

operating and scaling integrations in cloud environments

Translate customer, partner, and field insights into clear outbound product requirements and priorities for the integrations and networking domain.

Collaborate closely with Inbound Product Managers responsible for integration, API, and networking capabilities to ensure customer needs and business context are reflected in product roadmaps, design decisions, and delivery plans.

Work as part of the Guidewire Cloud Platform Outbound PM team, contributing to shared discovery, planning, and prioritization across platform domains.

Partner with Engineering, UX, SRE, Enablement, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure integration and networking capabilities are usable, secure, and clearly positioned for customers and the field.

Help craft customer-facing messaging, value articulation, enablement content, and roadmap narratives for integration and connectivity capabilities.

Support release and GA readiness activities by validating customer value, use cases, and adoption considerations for new and enhanced integration and networking features.

What we’re looking for in this role:

An Outbound Product Manager who enjoys working directly with customers, partners, and field teams to understand real-world problems and translate them into clear product requirements, priorities, and value narratives.

Strong ability to synthesize customer, market, and field input into actionable insights that influence product direction, roadmap decisions, and go-to-market execution.

Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with large and diverse audiences, including customers, partners, and internal teams—whether in customer meetings, workshops, or conference-style settings.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate customer needs and business context to engineering, design, and cross-functional partners.

Curiosity and working knowledge of integration and cloud platform concepts, such as:

API-based and event-driven integrations

data exchange and system-to-system communication

cloud networking fundamentals (e.g. VPCs, connectivity patterns, access controls, IP allowlisting)

how large-scale SaaS platforms expose and operate integrations

Ability to collaborate effectively with Inbound Product Managers and cross-functional teams while maintaining a clear outbound focus on customer value, adoption, and usability.

Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud environments is a strong plus; hands-on engineering experience is not required, but the ability to reason about technical trade-offs is important.

Excellent English speaking and written communication skills.

3+ years of Product Management experience (or equivalent experience in a customer-facing, technical role such as solutions engineering, technical consulting, or platform engineering).

Ability to travel 10–25% of the time as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
