Outage Services Project Director (Remote Eligible, U.S.)
Job Description SummaryThe Project Director is the single point of contact for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) at Customer site outages and owns outage project execution including, but not limited to, Refuel Floor, Under Vessel, Inspections and Modifications. The Project Director is responsible for all GVH field deliveries and performs these duties during the periods leading up to, during, and following refueling outages. In this role, the Project Director is the single point contact and onsite GVH leader to the Customer’s Outage organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of project delivery for Field Services Projects including ITO & OTRActs as the onsite single point of contact for all GVH businessAttends customer meetings where GVH is a stakeholderParticipate in and lead continuous improvement activities related to refueling outage improvementProvide oversight and direction of the GVH Project Managers assigned to support the same Customer projectsEnforce GVH project controls procedures to ensure project successAssist the Customer in planning, scheduling, and budgeting for all GVH Refueling Outage ActivitiesEnsure GVH Programs improvement programs are being implemented at the various Customer sites (e.g. Human Performance, Foreign Materials Exclusion, Lessons Learned, etc.)Perform other assignments as business needs dictate.Integrate the services team effectively during site execution, coordinating with various departments to streamline operations.Monitor and manage project budgets and financial performance in accordance with contractual agreements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering disciplineMinimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear refueling outage leadership positionsMinimum of 3 years of experience with contract language, commercial contracts, negotiations, and face-to-face customer meetings

Eligibility Requirements:

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified (US based) remote candidates will be consideredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to climb and descend 10 flights of stairs twice per dayAbility to pass fit test and physicalAbility to pass Fitness For Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access to nuclear plant sitesAbility to work under high stress conditionsAbility and willingness to work in radiation controlled and radioactively contaminated areasAbility and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally plant sitesAbility and willingness to work 12 hrs. / day seven days per week (when delivering of field projects)

The base pay range for this position is $119,600-160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 9/5/2025.

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
