Review work assignments, schedules, paperwork and other documentation/directions to help ensure the timeliest delivery of materials and finished productsTransport materials and finished products according to established delivery schedules, with allowances for existing and predicted weather conditionsWork is completed in a manner which ensures maximum freight hauled per load, minimum trips to the Twin Cities, and reliable parts support for changing shop prioritiesAll traffic laws are observed, and driving is done in a safe, courteous manner at all timesPerform in-plant shipping/receiving and material-handling duties when not on the road to include inspection of materials for quality and packing; documenting missing/returned items, damaged goods and shortages; and assisting in loading/unloading of the truckAssist in returns of pallets and dunnage from installation shipmentsPerform or ensure the performance of preventative and routine truck maintenance to minimize delay and unsafe conditionsRepresent the company with a positive and courteous image in all vendor contacts and relationshipsHelp maintain the dock area in a clean, orderly condition to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidentsAll safety policies and practices are consistently followed, in-plant or on-the-roadPerforms light assembly of products at customer site where and when necessaryHelps remove dunnage from sites and loads securely back onto truck for return to the companyContributes to a cooperative work effort through performance of assigned accountabilities in a timely, dependable and safe manner at all times
