OTE Training Coordinator
Position Summary

Located 45 minutes from the Nation’s Capital, nestled in a history-rich community of southern Maryland, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) has been twice named in the top 150 community colleges by the Aspen Institute with academic programs in over 100 disciplines. The individual in this position serves as an integral member of the Division of People, Culture, and Equity. The Training Coordinator, Organizational Development, Talent, and Equity (OTE) work closely with the Associate Vice President of OTE to plan, create, and execute CSM’s organizational development and professional learning strategies with the goal of delivering the highest caliber of service and programming to CSM employees.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

50% Organizational Development and Training Coordination
Assist the AVP with managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting professional learning in the areas of organizational development, and talent development, and Inclusive ExcellenceAssist with developing protocols, processes, and schedule for the effective and efficient management and execution of CSM’s Inclusive Excellence PlanAssist with conducting organization-wide professional learning needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressedAssist with organizing and providing content for monthly New Employee On-Boarding ExperienceAssist with developing and maintaining the professional learning matrices for all employee positions at CSM Develops and maintains evaluation procedures for all OTE programs and initiatives30% User Support
Become efficient and knowledge in the use and coordination of the division’s learning management system, NEOED (specifically Learn and Perform)Support employees in their use of NEOED (specifically Learn and Perform)Assist with coordinating and tracking all annual & mandatory professional learning, including FERPA, Sexual Harassment, etc.20% Administrative Support
Maintain the various communication boards, training calendar, and CSM Intranet siteDraft and edit documentsResearch and collect information for program development, reports, etc.Schedule appointments and meetingsHandle and respond to correspondenceMaintain files and recordsPrepare reports and presentationsAdditional Duties: 
Performs other related work as assigned.

Minimum Education and Training

BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as human relations, human resources, adult education, communication, leadership, or organizational development is preferred  Formal training or education in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Training Evaluation is preferredTwo to five years of work experience with designing, developing, and/or delivering professional learning in the workplace is preferred  

Minimum Qualifications and Standards Required

Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required for phone, email, and face-to-face correspondence with personnel at all levels of the organization. Experience in program management, administration, organization, managing details, and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track required. Experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role Experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate/organizational setting Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools Proven ability to execute a full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments Computer competency required, with use of MS Office Suite, such as Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook Analyze, interpret, and report research findings and recommendations regarding the effectiveness of the internal training programsAbility to work cooperatively with people at all levels with respect and ability to respond appropriately in a variety of complex situations Must be reliable and punctual Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to embrace and adapt quickly to change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.   

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
May require work hour flexibility and some overtime related to specific needs/projects.
