About the role
Our Infrastructure team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department. As an OT Network Engineer, you will ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of the organization’s OT network infrastructure by designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and reliable networks tailored to industrial environments. You will be accountable for: Designing and implementing OT network architectures to support industrial operations and systems in collaboration with the Infrastructure Architect. Monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing OT network performance to ensure reliability and uptime. Liaising with the DT Site Support Managers and Site Engineers to identify the networking requirements. Ensuring network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and segmentation practices. Collaborating with IT and operational teams to align network solutions with business and industrial goals. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues to minimize impact on industrial processes. Supporting the integration of OT systems with IT networks while maintaining secure boundaries. Conducting regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies. Documenting network configurations, diagrams, and procedures for future reference and audits. We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field. Relevant work experience in OT Network Engineering or Industrial IT Infrastructure Management. Competencies: Expert in designing, configuring, and maintaining Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security in industrial environments. Familiar with ITIL best practices expertise in integrating IT and OT networks while maintaining segmentation and security to protect critical assets. Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing industrial network performance using tools like Wireshark, Nagios. Experienced in implementing security measures to ensure continuity, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, in compliance with standards like IEC 62443. Proficient in managing supplies and relationships to various stakeholders. Adept at documenting OT network architectures and maintaining system configurations for transparency and operational consistency. Behaviors: Proactive in identifying and addressing risks to OT network reliability and security. Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and functionality of network configurations. Adaptability to meet the unique challenges of OT environments and industrial requirements. Collaborative mindset to engage effectively with IT, operations, and external vendors. Accountability for maintaining high standards in OT network performance and security. Problem-solving approach to address challenges with scalable and practical solutions.
About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 35 600 euros to 48 700 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
