We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled OSP Drafter to support the design and documentation of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate CAD drawings, maps, and schematics based on engineering specifications, field data, and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of fiber optic and copper network deployments.

Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and update OSP network designs using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS-based platformsInterpret engineering notes, field survey data, and redlines to produce construction-ready drawingsCreate and maintain documentation for fiber routes, conduit systems, pole attachments, and splice locationsCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure design accuracy and feasibilityMaintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsAssist in preparing permit drawings and documentation for utility and municipal approvalsPerform quality checks on drafted plans to ensure completeness and accuracyUpdate and archive project files and drawing databasesQualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field1+ years of experience in OSP drafting or telecommunications design preferredProficiency in AutoCAD, GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS), and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with OSP construction practices, fiber optic networks, and utility infrastructureStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans, utility maps, and construction drawingsExcellent communication and teamwork abilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
