OSP Construction Specialist
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Supervisor to oversee overhead and underground telecommunications construction projects. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines while serving as the primary field liaison between contractors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills in OSP (Outside Plant) construction and fiber/coax installation. Responsibilities + Execute overhead/underground construction duties, including: + Placing hard-line connectivity platforms, framing and stranding poles, transferring facilities, and installing platforms in joint trenches. + Safely operating construction vehicles and trailers. + Maintain accurate records of project milestones, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures. + Enforce work site safety standards through inspections and regular safety meetings. + Coordinate projects with specialists and leadership teams. + Generate detailed logs and reports on construction progress, materials, and expenditures. + Address and resolve customer requests and complaints promptly. + Monitor crew performance against established goals and objectives. + Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technical and production staff. + Assign tasks, set priorities, and review work for quality and compliance. + Ensure all work meets or exceeds Comcast, local, state, and federal standards. + Act as the primary contractor interface and NGAN liaison with regional network technicians. + Verify JT or Polaris job documentation/maps and perform QC for path verification. + Ensure new or upgraded power supply is operational before cutover dates. + Maintain overall responsibility for NGAN product quality from build to operations handoff. + Spend approximately 90% of time in the field. Required Skills + OSP construction and telecommunications expertise. + Project management and coordination. + Knowledge of coax, fiber optic, and wireless installation. + Familiarity with AutoCAD and quality audit processes. + Experience in site development and fiber installation. + Strong leadership and communication skills. Preferred Experience + Construction management in telecom environments. + Hands-on experience with cabling and connectivity platforms. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Berlin, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
