Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Function:

Utilizes clinical, administrative, research and educational standards to facilitate the appropriate care of the orthopedic patients including the Medicare Comprehensive Care of Joint Replacement (CJR) patients. Serves as a patient advocate and as a liaison to patients, physicians and other hospital departments. Assists in development and growth of the Total Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and team work to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes within effective time frames. Maintains positive relationships with the physician office staff and surgeons. Develops, maintains and teaches and evaluates the pre-op joint class. Participates in improving efficiencies with pre-admit testing, day hospital and physician office patient flow. Develops relationships with Post-Acute providers to ensure reduced liability and improved patient care post discharge. Performs other tasks, duties or responsibilities as assigned or needed for the effective, safe and efficient functioning and operation of the hospital. Utilizes lean methodology for continuous quality improvement. Tracks quality improvement outcomes and trends for improvement opportunities. Responsible for on-call services for patient access.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current American Heart Association BLS certification  Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license

Work Schedule:   

Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
