Job Description & Summary

Kia ora,

Make an impact that inspires. Elevate your potential at PwC.

It’s a great time to join PwC New Zealand - a community of solvers leading with heart and living our values. As part of our Next Era strategy, we’re reimagining how we grow, lead and connect. This internal role sits at the centre of that shift, shaping how leadership shows up every day across our firm.

Ngā kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role

Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems - this role turns that purpose into everyday leadership. As Organisational Development Manager, you’ll shape and evolve PwC NZ’s leadership strategy through a One Firm lens and the Evolved PwC Professional, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Managers across DEI, People Experience and Learning & Development to align initiatives and lift impact across the firm.

You’ll partner with the Board, CPO and COO on partner pathways and pipeline readiness, while staying hands-on: designing and facilitating programmes, scaling coaching and multi-directional feedback with new HR tech, and using data, automation and AI to continually raise performance. You’ll also lead and empower an OD Advisor - coaching, clearing roadblocks and creating space for high-value mahi - so together you deliver outsized impact.

Lead the firm’s leadership strategy - from flagship programmes to informal and self-led development - using evidence and evaluation for continuous improvement.

Build coaching and feedback capability across the firm, embedding day-to-day leadership practices aligned to global frameworks and our new HR tech.

Shape partner development - co-design Partner leadership, support Partner admissions and succession, and prepare Directors/EDs for Partnership readiness.

Advise on talent and leadership frameworks so tools and insights are practical, network-aligned and inform smarter decisions.

Run a smart operating model - manage budgets and external providers, design/facilitate bespoke interventions, drive efficiency with automation and AI, and champion the OD Advisor’s growth.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology, HRM or related field; coaching/psychometric accreditations (e.g., ICC, MBTI, 360) are a plus.

7+ years’ OD/leadership development experience in complex, matrixed environments (professional services exposure valued).

Credible influencer at senior levels - trusted by Partners and executives; strong relationship, facilitation and advisory skills.

Proven design excellence - evidence-based OD (scoping, design, delivery), programme evaluation and vendor management; budget accountability.

Experience with leadership pipelines - coaching cultures, feedback systems and succession for critical roles/Partner pathways.
