Order Manager
Hours: Monday through Friday (fully onsite) 8am to 5pm (an hour for lunch). Description Seeking an Order/Project Manager to join the engineering department, responsible for managing customer orders and projects from initiation through delivery. The role involves coordination between engineering, sales, shop personnel, and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate project completion. Responsibilities Receive and process purchase orders, enter them into the ERP system, and create sales orders. Gather technical information from regional sales managers and customers for engineering needs. Coordinate with design engineers for project handoff and review. Send drawings for approval to sales managers and customers, track approvals, and communicate status. Oversee detailing and release of prints to the shop, coordinate with shop staff and outside vendors, and track project progress until shipment. Manage multiple projects, ensuring organization and attention to detail with paper-based packages. Maintain communication with various internal teams and external customers. Support the training of new hires with current PMs and walk them through processes. Work Structure Projects are customer-based, with assignments divided among PMs by major accounts. Typical project duration ranges from 2 weeks (quick designs) to 10–12 weeks (tooling projects). Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
