Order Entry Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Order Entry Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders while maintaining clear communication with internal departments. This role requires a strong administrative background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to navigate a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately enter orders, invoices, and data into the system to ensure seamless processing. • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring invoices are sent out promptly and issues are resolved efficiently. • Collaborate with internal departments to address order-related inquiries and maintain smooth communication. • Take initiative to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment. • Utilize intermediate Excel skills to organize, analyze, and report data as needed. • Provide excellent customer service while handling administrative tasks and responding to inquiries. • Ask questions and seek clarification when needed to ensure accuracy and understanding. • Adapt to changing priorities and processes while maintaining attention to detail. • Assist with backlog order processing and ensure timely completion of project work. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Requirements • Proven experience in order entry, data entry, or a similar administrative role. • Proficiency in intermediate Excel functions, including data analysis and reporting. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams. • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and adapt to changing priorities. • Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or CRM tools is a plus. • Quick learner with a proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
