**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities:**
System Integration & End-to-End Testing:
+ Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of 5G and O-RAN networks to validate conformance, interoperability, performance, and capacity against industry standards
+ Perform integration, regression, load, and stress testing on RAN solutions, with a specific focus on end-to-end validation of the system
+ Ensure seamless compatibility and integration of RAN components with core network elements and other critical telecommunications equipment
Test Execution & Validation:
+ Develop, modify, and validate test plans and scripts for various test scenarios in a lab environment
+ Execute both manual and automated test cases to verify the stability, functionality, and performance of CU, DU, and RU components
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure smooth integration and successful test execution from planning to completion
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:
+ Utilize deep knowledge of logging and network call flows to perform advanced troubleshooting on the test setup
+ Analyze system logs to identify, isolate, and determine the root cause of functional and performance issues within the RAN network
+ Collaborate directly with engineering teams and vendors to drive the resolution of identified defects and system issues
Automation & Scripting:
+ Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Shell, and other relevant languages to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
+ Implement and manage automated test scenarios for performance benchmarking, including throughput, latency, and stability testing
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
+ Continuously monitor network performance during test cycles, identifying any system bottlenecks or potential issues
+ Analyze test results and logs to provide detailed, actionable insights on system behavior, performance metrics, and opportunities for optimization
+ Generate comprehensive and well-documented reports on all test outcomes, including defect tracking, progress updates, and final resolution status
**Skills, Experience and Requirements**
**Education and Experience:**
+ Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
+ 15+ years of experience in wireless communication system design, with a strong focus on RAN (Radio Access Networks) architecture, particularly O-RAN and Open RAN technologies
+ In-depth understanding of the O-RAN architecture, including the different interfaces (e.g., Open Fronthaul, F1, eCPRI), and components like CU, DU, RU, and O-RU
+ Expertise in system design, performance optimization, and integration of RAN components in multi-vendor environments
+ Solid understanding of 3GPP standards, cloud-native architectures, and virtualization technologies (e.g., NFV, SDN)
+ Hands-on experience with network simulation tools and performance testing (e.g., VIAVI, Keysight, or similar)
+ Strong proficiency in relevant technologies, such as eCPRI, O-RAN front-haul protocols, cloud-based RAN, and network slicing
+ Direct experience working with Open RAN (O-RAN) architecture and the O-RAN Alliance
+ Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
+ Experience with developing and optimizing network performance metrics (e.g., throughput, latency, SINR) in wireless networks
+ Familiarity with tools and protocols for simulation and emulation of RAN components
+ Experience with AI/ML applications in RAN optimization is a plus
**Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical solutions to a wide range of stakeholders
+ Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, test, operations) and external partners in delivering complex solutions
**Salary Ranges**
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $180,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
