About the Role
Oracle Health Government is seeking an experienced Lead Interface Architect to join our team, specializing in the ongoing support and maintenance of mission-critical system interfaces. In this pivotal role, you will lead the analysis, troubleshooting, and enhancement of interfaces between enterprise applications, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance. Your expertise will directly support business continuity and user satisfaction.
You’ll work closely with technical teams, support staff, healthcare partners, and vendors to ensure the reliable performance of hardware devices and integration while assisting with small-scale projects, system updates, issue tracking, and coordination of support activities. You’ll join a hard-working, knowledgeable team dedicated to shaping the EHR experience for service members, veterans, American Indians, and Alaska Natives.
Responsibilities
Act as the lead technical expert for the ongoing operation, reliability, and performance of medical interfaces, including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and other healthcare messaging standards. Coordinate incident resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for interface issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to clinical workflows. Collaborate closely with application support, infrastructure, clinical, and business teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Evaluate, implement, and optimize interface monitoring tools and methodologies to proactively identify and address potential problems. Develop and maintain comprehensive interface documentation, including workflows, connectivity diagrams, and configuration details. Provide technical guidance on interface upgrades, migrations, and new requirements, with a focus on backward compatibility and minimal operational risk. Ensure change management procedures are rigorously followed, especially regarding system patches, security updates, and regulatory compliance. Contribute to policy and procedure development relating to interface management and support best practices. Maintain knowledge of evolving healthcare standards, regulations (such as HIPAA), and interoperability trends to inform ongoing interface strategy. Offer mentorship and technical direction to other team members and stakeholders on interface-related topics.
