About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Technical Project Manager to support ongoing operations, maintenance, and enhancement of Health Information Exchange (HIE) systems. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with an interest in healthcare IT, system interoperability, and project coordination.

You will work closely with technical teams, support staff, healthcare partners, and vendors to ensure the reliable performance of HIE platforms while assisting with small-scale projects, system updates, issue tracking, and coordination of support activities. You will join a hard-working, knowledgeable team dedicated to shaping the EHR experience for service members, veterans, American Indians, and Alaska Natives.

Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day operations of HIE systems, including system monitoring, issue triage, and tracking resolution. Coordinate maintenance schedules, patching cycles, and system updates with technical and vendor teams. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and healthcare stakeholders to address and meet support needs. Track open support tickets and assist with prioritization, escalation, and communication of status updates. Document system changes, support workflows, troubleshooting procedures, and lessons learned. Assist with change control processes, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies (e.g., HIPAA). Participate in small-scale enhancement projects, including planning, requirements gathering, and testing coordination. Support reporting and analytics efforts related to system performance and incident trends.
