Raytheon is hiring an **Oracle Database Software Engineer II** to support our teams in **Aurora, CO.** Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions – from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors – to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat. Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt. **What You Will Do** + Work as a Database engineer with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software. + Perform software development of large-scale database solutions. + Troubleshoot and fix complex software problems. + Performance tuning of database objects and queries. + Installation, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Database Software. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior, relevant experience. + Experience with Oracle 19c RAC Database Administration. + Experience with BASH or other similar scripting language. **Qualifications We Prefer** + Experience with Oracle DataGuard. + Experience with Oracle Multitenant Architecture. + Experience with Chef or Ansible automation. + Experience with some area of satellite ground system software. + Experience with Atlassian Tools. + Experience with Agile Development. **What We Offer** + Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
